Responsible corporate management

Highest standards of transparency, ethics and sustainability

Responsible corporate management means ensuring the long-term economic success of a company by taking appropriate account of the values and interests of all stakeholders and reporting transparently on goals, progress and challenges. In addition to focussing on increased transparency, this also includes compliance with ethical standards, the assumption of social responsibility and consideration of environmental sustainability.

Firmly rooted corporate values provide the foundation

Our corporate culture, which is based on respectful interaction, mutual appreciation, credibility and open dialogue, lays the foundation for ethical conduct. In addition, internal directives and guidelines govern the rights and duties of our employees and our business activities.

The PSP values are also reflected in our Code of Conduct. This sets out the required conduct of all employees in their business activities. Our commitment to respect human rights is set out in the Human Rights Policy. Furthermore, we do not tolerate corruption or bribery, as set out in the corresponding policy. An internal directive on combating corruption and bribery (‘WKB’) sets out the rules of conduct for employees, provides instructions on how to recognise and deal with possible acts of corruption or bribery, and regulates training in this area.

We also expect our business partners who supply us with goods or provide services for us to adhere to our high standards. The corresponding Code of Conduct contains requirements in relation to ethical business practices, the protection of human rights and the environment. In the case of contracts with general contractors or service contracts, these clauses are directly integrated in addition to project-specific requirements (e.g. regarding green procurement).

Disclosure with a focus on material areas

Information and transparency are important to us. We implement them in accordance with EPRA and IFRS requirements. In the area of sustainability reporting, we are guided not only by the EPRA Sustainability Best Practices Recommendations (sBPR) but also by the GRI Standards (Global Reporting Initiative). In doing so, we deliberately focus on the material areas that are relevant to our sustainability performance. Building on the solid foundation of our multi-year participation in CDP's climate change questionnaire, we have also been reporting in accordance with the requirements of TCFD (Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) since 2024. We are also working with other industry players – for example, by participating in the REIDA CO2 benchmark and through our membership of Swiss Sustainable Real Estate – to create better comparability in terms of objectives and key figures for energy efficiency and CO2 emissions of real estate portfolios in Switzerland.

Open for dialogue

We always favour a direct exchange with the various stakeholders. Various communication channels are available for internal and external stakeholders, and they are actively used (see “Our approach”). This also applies to possible complaints or critical concerns. In addition, we have a web-based whistleblower system called PSP Integrity Line. Employees and third parties – whether suppliers, customers or business partners – can use PSP Integrity Line to report possible violations of the law and other critical concerns, anonymously if they wish. No reports were received by the whistleblower system in 2024.
